Damien Hirst

British artist, born 1965

Damien Hirst emerged with the Young British Artists in the late eighties and has spent the decades since testing how far an idea can be pushed through colour, pattern and repetition.

The Spots are the clearest statement of that method: a grid of hand-mixed colours, no two the same, arranged with deliberate mechanical calm. Kaleidoscope translates butterfly wings into stained-glass symmetry, and H9 The Virtues applies the cherry blossom language to nine Japanese ideals of character.

Hirst editions are sourced through our network, with edition size, condition and provenance confirmed on enquiry. Price on application.
